Applications
Discover how DECRO is applied across different study types and research environments.
Real-time, non-invasive physiological monitoring is a major challenge in biomedical research, veterinary medicine, and scientific training.
By being completely non-invasive, ETISENSE’s telemetry solution provides real-time access to high-quality ECG, as well as ventilation/pulmonary/respiratory and activity measurements, without the need for implantable surgery. It allows monitoring of precise and continuous data, over 24-hour periods or during longitudinal measurements lasting a few hours, thereby promoting advancements in several key areas.
DECRO Solution Through Applications
Phenotyping of disease models
Monitoring of ECG morphological changes, ventilation, and locomotor activity patterns changes to better characterize pathological phenotypes and understand underlying pathophysiological mechanisms.
Pharmacology and safety-toxicology
Assessment of the efficacy and toxicity of novel pharmacological compounds on cardiorespiratory and central nervous system (CNS) functions in rodent and non-rodent species using jacketed telemetry.
Monitoring of vital functions
Monitor the health status of your animals following a medical condition or surgery (e.g., cardiac stroke), or anticipate humane endpoints in severe procedures using jacketed telemetry — all while allowing a return to the home cage.
Education and training
Learn physiology and pharmacology using jacketed telemetry on rehomed animals, or through a new digital approach with pre-recorded, on-demand datasets from cardiorespiratory studies.
Veterinary
Use wearable telemetry to monitor vital signs (heart and respiratory rates) or the development of medical conditions (e.g., cardiopathy), either at home or at the veterinary clinic.

Tracking a Subject’s Spontaneous Activity: What are we actually measuring with the DECRO® solution?
The follow-up of the spontaneous activity of a subject in addition to parameters reflecting its physiological parameters is of a high level of interest in multiple cases of use / studies. This article will allow you to better understand what the DECRO solution can...
A good habituation is a key success factor with DECRO® solution
DECRO® is the first non-invasive cardiorespiratory monitoring solution using a connected jacket for small laboratory animals. The use of DECRO allows to refine the protocols and reduce the number of animals used in a study. The solution allows the acquisition of data...
