DECRO System Configurations
DECRO has been designed as a modular and scalable solution, offering ready-to-use telemetry systems for physiological data collection. From academic laboratories to complex industrial studies, the platform adapts to your environment, your constraints, and your budget.
Whether you’re working with a single animal or conducting large-scale studies, DECRO provides tailored system ranges to match the complexity and scale of your research — without requiring heavy infrastructure or technical barriers.
You can choose between three system ranges — Start, Advanced, and Nano — each suited to different study sizes and levels of functionality.
Start and Advanced models offer fully local operations with pre-installed software. In contrast, the Nano provides a lightweight, budget-friendly configuration, perfect for secure, cloud-based data analysis and collaborative workflows, all with minimal setup.
A typical DECRO solution includes:
– A telemetry acquisition system (Start, Advanced, or Nano)
– One or more Bluetooth telemetry emitters with rechargeable batteries
– A full set of electronic accessories, including chargers and connection cables
– Preinstalled LASA software, with the appropriate version and modules depending on the system selected
– For Advanced systems: an additional analysis and calculation server for acquisition unit control and centralized data processing
– DECRO Jackets and accessories (to be purchased separately)
– Software basic and optional analyzer modules

Jacket and Species
DECRO is a modular, versatile platform that adapts to various animal models — with no need to change hardware or software. Only the jacket is adapted to fit the morphology of each species.
The DECRO jacket is a core component of the telemetry solution. It embeds plethysmographic sensors for respiratory monitoring, holds the Bluetooth emitter, and either integrates smart ECG electrodes or includes dedicated slots for external patches — depending on the species.
Our jackets have been extensively validated through R&D and in-vivo testing across various animal strains and housing conditions, including socially housed animals. Made from high-quality, durable and soft OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 textiles, DECRO jackets ensure comfort and optimal fit while maintaining signal quality.

Ordering & Support
Jackets, ECG patches, and other accessories are sold separately from the telemetry systems and are available exclusively through Etisense or its qualified distributors. Custom pricing can be provided for volume orders.
TIP
Replacement of jackets is recommended to match animal weight ranges during longitudinal study.

LASA Software Basic and Additional Modules
DECRO is an all-in-one solution which allows the recording of cardiac, respiratory and activity physiological signals. The LASA software can support several analyzer modules for the different physiological signals recorded with the jackets.
These software modules have been developed to automatically locate physiological events (such as R-peaks, end of inspiration, etc.) and calculate derived physiological parameters (such as heart and respiratory rate). Analyzer modules come with selectable preconfigured parameters for the different species available with the solution. These parameters can be tuned if specific configuration is required.
ECG analyzer module
Automatically detects QRS complexes from surface ECG signals and extracts key cardiac parameters on a beat-to-beat basis.

RIP analyzer module
Detects respiratory cycles from RIP signals and calculates key volume and timing parameters. Includes allometric or manual calibration with reference method.

Activity analyzer module
Quantifies movement using 3D accelerometry to assess spontaneous or forced locomotor activity in various environments (e.g., cage, treadmill).

Optional ECG delineation analyzer module
Automatically identifies fiducial points on averaged ECG waveforms for advanced interval analysis and morphology characterization. Noise is reduced using signal averaging and probabilistic detection.
